Finding Spiritual Peace: My Journey of Meditation, Creativity, and Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone

In a world that often feels overwhelming and noisy, I’ve been on a gentle but determined quest to find my own version of spiritual peace. It hasn’t always been easy — but through small, meaningful steps, I’m learning to create more moments of calm, joy, and self-connection.

Meditation and Mindful Moments
My journey began with meditation. At first, I found it hard to sit still with my thoughts. But as I kept showing up — even if just for five minutes a day — I started to notice how it helped me slow down, breathe deeper, and quiet the chatter in my mind. Guided meditations, calming apps, and a simple corner of my home turned into my sacred space to reconnect with myself.

The Power of Words and Relaxation Music
Self-help books have also become my companions. Reading stories of others who have navigated similar paths reminds me that I’m not alone. I love pairing my reading time with soft relaxation music — it’s amazing how a few soothing notes can shift the energy of an entire day.

New Hobbies: Knitting, Crafting, and Jewellery Making
Part of my healing has come from letting my hands be busy while my mind finds peace. Knitting, crafting, and making jewellery have opened up new creative pathways for me. There’s something truly therapeutic about creating something beautiful from simple materials. These hobbies remind me that I can shape and mould my own life, one small stitch or bead at a time.

Sharing Glimpses of My Journey
One thing that has brought me so much joy is sharing glimpses of my journey through my Instagram posts. It’s become a space where I can express myself freely — whether it’s a moment of peace in nature, a new craft project I’m excited about, or a favourite quote from a book I’m reading. Connecting with others in this way has reminded me that even small, authentic moments can inspire and uplift, and it’s helped me stay true to who I am.

Growing My Spiritual Stall with My Sister
One of the most rewarding parts of this path has been running a spiritual stall with my sister. What started as a small dream has now become a beautiful part of our lives. Over time, we’ve built a little community around it — sharing our handmade crafts, crystals, and spiritual pieces at local pop-up markets. It’s amazing to see familiar faces return and new ones discover us. Through this stall, I’ve learned so much about connecting with people, trusting in our vision, and embracing the unknown. It’s helped me build confidence and given me a sense of purpose that continues to grow, just like our little market stall family.

Finding Peace in Nature and Growing from Seed
Nature has become my greatest teacher. I’ve fallen in love with gardening — growing plants from seed is such a powerful metaphor for my own growth. Watching tiny sprouts reach for the sun reminds me to be patient with myself and trust the process. Long walks, listening to the birds, and simply sitting under a tree remind me that peace is always available in the simplest moments.

I hope that by sharing my story, I can remind you that spiritual peace is not a destination — it’s a journey made up of small, meaningful choices. Whether it’s meditating for a few minutes, picking up a new hobby, or taking that brave step outside your comfort zone, each step matters.

If you’d like to follow along, you can find me on Instagram @akasharach — I’d love to connect with you there. And if you’re ever in Liverpool, come and say hello at our stall at Red Brick Market, 70 Stanhope Street (Mystic Sisters). We’d love to welcome you into our little community.

Let’s grow, heal, and find peace together — one moment at a time. ✨
